The question that started it all. When do you remember Nelson Mandela's death, and under what circumstances?

I was a white child in an all black school. It happened in 1991. I was in the 2nd grade. I had a teacher named Ms King who was my primary teacher. I also had a music teacher named Mr. Curtis. He looked like Arsenio Hall. Anyways, I was taken aback by the way the teachers reacted about a man who I had never heard of. I remember Kadaffi being a facilitator in what became a much bigger and earlier Dessert Storm. This facilitation ends up putting him into a position of what we see the leader of North Korea being now. I remember Dessert storm being much, much worse than it is recorded as. I also remember the Branch Davidians and Ruby Ridge being extremely triggering to the "Bundy Boys". I remember shit going down in the Ozarks and as far as Mississippi in the way of internal civil wars. I have absolutely no recollection of anything being normal after 1999. I ended up calling it what my oldest daughter calls it. De-realization. There is no going back once you realize this, so I don't suggest pushing this gospel, but rather, look around. Find the ones who are from where you're from. After you've found them, give them a high five. Anyone who believes this simulated timeline is dead already.
